GO "BERY i SLAV" announces an open competition for students and graduate students to participate in a paid internship program in the public sector.
The internship is carried out within the project "Internship program for the development of youth in the public sector", supported by the "Renaissance" International Foundation within the "Internship within the Impulse Project" competition (second wave)».
The "Impulse" project — "Enhancing the capabilities of civil society for the stability and recovery of Ukraine" — is implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation in cooperation with the Eastern Europe Foundation with the support of Norway (Norad) and Sweden (Like).
The selection of interns is carried out within track A — "Internships on the basis of grant-recipient organizations of the Impulse Project".
Number of seats: 3 interns/trainees
Duration of internship: to 3 months
Internship period: approximately 15 September - 15 December 2026 p. (to be confirmed with the selected interns)
Format: offline, m. Drohobych

1. What is an internship?
Internship is a defined period, during which the intern gets acquainted with the work of the host organization, acquires practical experience in the public sector and performs tasks in accordance with the agreed internship program.
GO "BERI i SLAV" as a host organization provides:
- open competitive selection of trainees;
- preparation of the necessary documents for the internship;
- individual internship program;
- internship supervisor;
- mentoring support;
- safe and appropriate conditions for participation in the internship;
- briefing on the rules, policies and procedures of the organization;
- support for tasks and evaluation of internship results.
2. Purpose of internship
The purpose of the internship is to provide students and post-graduate students with the opportunity to gain knowledge, practical experience and skills through direct acquaintance with the activities of the NGO "BERY i SLAV" and its work practices in the public sector.
This is an opportunity for interns:
- find out, how a public organization works;
- to gain practical experience of participating in project activities;
- develop communication skills, analysts, organization of events and work with target groups;
- better understand the role of civil society in the processes of community resilience and recovery.
For the NGO "BERI i SLAV" this is an opportunity to attract motivated young people, spread their own work practices and form a personnel reserve for the further activities of the organization.
3. Who are we looking for?
You are invited to participate in the competition:
- adult students of senior years of higher education institutions of Ukraine;
- graduate students;
- persons, who have Ukrainian citizenship;
- persons, who live in Ukraine;
- candidates, motivated to social activities and ready to learn in practice.
The program is open to representatives of various specialties, in particular:
- social work; psychology; right; public management and administration;
- political science; sociology; journalism and communications;
- management; economy; international relations; education;
- humanities and social sciences;
- data analytics, статистика або суміжні напрями;
- професійна освіта, кар’єрне консультування, робота з молоддю;
- інші спеціальності, дотичні до громадської діяльності, розвитку громад, роботи з людьми, даними, комунікаціями або питаннями зайнятості.
Попередній досвід роботи у громадському секторі не є обов’язковим. Найважливішими є мотивація, responsibility, готовність навчатися, працювати в команді та долучатися до суспільно корисної діяльності.
Стажерами/стажерками не можуть бути родичі членів команди ГО «БЕРИ і СЛАВ».
4. Тематика стажування
The internship will combine institutional and thematic components.
The institutional component may include:
- familiarization with the activities of the public organization;
- basic understanding of project management;
- participation in the planning and organization of events;
- external communication of NGOs;
- work with volunteers, event participants and target groups;
- development of cooperation with partners;
- familiarization with domestic politicians, procedures and rules of the organization;
- basic understanding of monitoring, assessment, reporting and accountability.
The thematic component may include:
- work with communities;
- support for IDPs and other vulnerable groups;
- work with youth, by women, veterans, people with disabilities;
- gender equality and non-discrimination;
- tools of public participation and local democracy;
- socio-economic integration of vulnerable groups;
- professional development support, teaching, retraining and employment;
- analytical work;
- MEAL — monitoring, assessment, accountability and learning;
- communications of a public organization;
- preparation of information, organizational, analytical or reporting materials.
5. Що передбачає стажування
Під час стажування учасники/учасниці зможуть долучитися до практичних завдань за кількома напрямами:
- асистування у підготовці та реалізації заходів організації;
- допомога в організації зустрічей, інформаційних сесій, презентацій та активностей;
- комунікація з учасниками заходів і цільовими групами;
- підготовка коротких текстів, новин, дописів, історій змін та інформаційних матеріалів;
- участь у зборі та систематизації інформації;
- допомога в підготовці анкет, форм зворотного зв’язку та узагальненні результатів;
- підготовка коротких аналітичних або інформаційних довідок;
- участь у роботі з темами соціально-економічної інтеграції, професійного розвитку та зайнятості;
- участь у командних зустрічах;
- підготовка індивідуального звіту за результатами стажування;
- презентація результатів стажування у своєму закладі вищої освіти або перед студентською аудиторією.
Конкретні завдання кожного стажера/стажерки будуть визначені в індивідуальній програмі стажування з урахуванням напряму освіти, мотивації, інтересів кандидата/кандидатки та потреб організації.
6. Супровід стажерів/стажерок
Кожен стажер/стажерка матиме:
- individual internship program;
- куратора/кураторку від ГО «БЕРИ і СЛАВ»;
- менторський супровід від команди організації;
- регулярний зворотний зв’язок щодо виконаних завдань;
- підтримку в підготовці підсумкового звіту та презентації результатів.
The project provides for the participation of three mentors from the NGO "BERY and GLORY", who will accompany interns in the main areas of the organization's activities: project and organizational, communication and public, analytical/MEAL and socio-economic.
7. What the intern will receive
Participants of the program will receive:
- practical experience of working in a public organization;
- understanding that, how public sector projects work;
- experience of participation in events and teamwork;
- communication skills with target groups;
- basic understanding of analytics, MEAL and working with data;
- the opportunity to join activities in the field of support for IDPs, young people, women, vulnerable groups and communities;
- general understanding of the topics of socio-economic integration, професійного розвитку та зайнятості;
- experience in the preparation of information, organizational or analytical materials;
- curatorial and mentoring support;
- scholarship for the internship period;
- certificate upon successful completion of the program.
8. Basic requirements for candidates
The candidate has:
- to be an adult;
- to be a student of the senior year of the Higher Education Institution of Ukraine or a graduate student;
- мати громадянство України;
- проживати в Україні;
- мати інтерес до громадської діяльності та розвитку громад;
- бути готовим/готовою брати участь у програмі стажування до 3 months;
- мати можливість особисто бути присутнім/присутньою на заходах стажування у м. Drohobych;
- бути готовим/готовою виконувати завдання відповідно до індивідуальної програми стажування;
- дотримуватися умов стажування, етичних стандартів, принципів недискримінації, конфіденційності та внутрішніх правил ГО «БЕРИ і СЛАВ».
9. Умови стажування
Стажування є платним. Interns are expected to receive a stipend on a regular basis during the specified internship period in accordance with the terms of the project, internship contract and approved budget.
Internship is not employment and does not imply automatic enrollment in the team of the GO "BERI i SLAV". At the same time, based on the results of the internship, the organization can offer individual interns/interns further cooperation, participation in volunteer activities, project activities or future initiatives.
Перед початком стажування з відібраними учасниками/учасницями буде укладено договір про стажування, у якому буде визначено умови участі, duration, програму, права й обов’язки сторін та порядок виплати стипендії.
10. Як податися
Для участі у конкурсі необхідно до 4 September 2026 року включно надіслати:
- Заповнену анкету кандидата/кандидатки.
- Короткий мотиваційний лист або відповідь на питання: «Чому я хочу пройти стажування у ГО “TAKE and GLORY” і як планую використати отриманий досвід?»
- Резюме або короткий опис власного досвіду, teaching, волонтерської чи громадської активності, якщо такий досвід є.

11. Як відбуватиметься відбір
Відбір стажерів/стажерок відбуватиметься на конкурсній основі у кілька етапів:
- Оголошення відкритого конкурсу.
- Прийом заявок від кандидатів/кандидаток.
- Перевірка відповідності базовим вимогам конкурсу.
- Оцінювання мотиваційних листів.
- Проведення співбесід із кандидатами/кандидатками, які пройдуть попередній відбір.
- Формування остаточного списку 3 стажерів/стажерок.
- Формування резервного списку кандидатів/кандидаток на випадок вибуття одного з відібраних учасників/учасниць.
Під час відбору враховуватимуться:
- відповідність формальним вимогам конкурсу;
- мотивація до участі у програмі;
- інтерес до громадського сектору;
- готовність навчатися і працювати в команді;
- відповідальність і комунікаційні навички;
- зацікавленість у роботі з громадами, VPO, молоддю, соціально-економічною інтеграцією, аналітикою, комунікаціями або MEAL;
- потенціал подальшого залучення до громадської діяльності.

12. Очікувані результати стажування
За результатами стажування очікується, що стажери/стажерки:
- ознайомляться із загальними практиками діяльності організацій громадянського суспільства;
- отримають знання про правила, політики та процедури, які застосовуються в діяльності ГО;
- набудуть практичних навичок за обраними напрямами стажування;
- perform individual or team tasks according to the program;
- will prepare a final report on the internship;
- present the results of their internship at their institution of higher education or in front of a student audience.

Completion of internship: approximately 15 December 2026 p.
The final schedule will be agreed with the selected interns, taking into account the academic load, program tasks and organizational needs.
