On Wednesday, 18 June, women's space Women club, that works in Drohobych, gathered women for a meeting with Ulyana Chapla, a practicing psychologist with many years of experience working with vulnerable categories of the population.
The members of the club were looking for a resource in themselves, what inspires them.
IDP and local women gathered at the meeting, wives of military personnel. It was important for everyone, that such gatherings take place in a comfortable and safe atmosphere, to be able to say "stop" at any moment, if the topic is painful or causes negative emotions.
Ulyana Chaplya, which works with stress topics, anxiety, losses, adaptation and knows how to support sensitively without unnecessary words, suggested using metaphorical associative cards. They help to understand yourself at this moment and that, that inspires.
"Metaphoric maps are used to visualize and analyze thoughts, ideas and relationships. They help people organize their thoughts, to look for new ideas and solve problems", –- she explained.
"I was a careerist, and now I know myself. I know the inner world, revealing myself", –- Elena said, one of the participants of the meeting, commenting on the metaphorical card, which she chose herself.
"I should be such a beautiful shore, gentle, calm. I have to be like that for my parents and children, but I have this whirlwind in my soul, whom no one can help", –- Valeria explained her card, another one of those present in space.
This is the format of meetings, its participants themselves summed up, is as comfortable as possible for them. Everyone has the opportunity to say that, what they want, and hear others. Therefore, the following interesting and useful trainings will be held in the Women Club in the near future.
